Sure 87 Al-A'la (The Most High), vers 14 – 19

1. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ

   He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

   87:14

2. وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ

   And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

   87:15

3. بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

   But you prefer the worldly life,

   87:16

4. وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

   While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

   87:17

5. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ

   Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

   87:18

6. صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

   The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

   87:19
